Hello Bill,
Thank you for your comments and question. I am glad the article on Time of Trouble was a blessing to you. You asked about salvation, faith, works, and physical preparation for the time of trouble. The overall work of preparing His people for the time of trouble (unlike any before) and the second coming is the work of God through Jesus and the Spirit. Our preparation is in "knowing and trusting" him. This is a choice, but the work is God's (in us). Jesus said,
"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." John 16:33. By Jesus overcoming the trials of this world, He can help us in small troubles or big troubles when we listen and act on the things the inspired writers tell us. Moving out away from the influences, evil, and temptations of the city is a personal and spiritual decision. God has called some people to stay in the cities to evangelize. Others need the quiet of the country to help in their relationship with God. There is no one blanket answer. If you go to the main page of the site, click on the folder entitled "Saved to the Uttermost." There I have gathered many Bible passages on salvation, works, obedience, etc. Let me know if you continue to have questions or if I can help you with your Jesus Journey! Blessings as you study God's word. Eddie

This article was a blessing, seeing two of the extremes that exist in our world today, in and out of the church. There is no question that a personal and saving relationship with Jesus is absolutely essential but that will be shown in works, "faith without works is dead."

I would have liked to read your thoughts on how a Christian, living by a faith which works by love, to the saving of the soul. What is the balance of physical preparation? Can we continue to live in the cities or should we be seeking a retired location, away from the masses of people?

God bless you.
